Unlocking Scale & Sustainability in Fresh Produce

Enhancing Reach Through Farmer Network Integration
With Fasal’s operations in Bengaluru and Chandigarh, Innoterra now has access to a vast farmer network across 85,000 acres, covering crops like bananas, pomegranates, grapes, apples, and guavas. This empowers Innoterra to serve 550+ retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers, while doubling distribution routes and scaling fruit distribution by up to 80%.

Data-Driven Precision Agriculture
The acquisition also opens doors for deeper collaboration on Fasal’s IoT-based farm management solutions. These technologies support water efficiency, fertilizer and pesticide optimization, pest control, and cost-effective cultivation—all aligned with Innoterra’s push toward sustainable sourcing.

Strategic Growth & Product Expansion
According to Avinash Kasinathan, Managing Director & Head of India Business, the deal is integral to scaling Innoterra’s fresh produce vertical. The roadmap includes integrating non-perishables like rice and spices into the Farmlink platform to create a unified and scalable supply chain model. Operational efficiency and financial sustainability remain central to this expansion strategy.

Conclusion

This acquisition marks a pivotal step in Innoterra’s journey to become a leader in India’s fresh produce distribution ecosystem. By combining tech-enabled precision farming with supply chain excellence and strategic product integration, Innoterra is poised to deliver long-term value to farmers, buyers, and consumers—while building a future-ready, connected food ecosystem.
