Overview
As a Procurement Executive, we seek individuals with experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement processes to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate should hold a BSc in Agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Manage field selection, quality control during loading of Domestic fruits.
- Develop supply and sales for pomegranate, guava, Grapes, watermelon.
- Oversee the purchasing process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of fruits.
- Manage the procurement budget, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Identify sourcing pockets & analyse the market trends, competitor behaviour & business potential.
- Devise & implement strategies to attract & onboard new suppliers on the platform.
- Storage of packaging material & inventory & record keeping to support distribution activities.
- QC sampling during packing & pre-dispatch goods.
- Ensure all statutory compliances and maintain proper records.
- Ensure safe and hygienic practices at the Field during Banana packing.
- Good and effective labour management for smooth operations.
- Prompt and regular reporting and MIS.
- Coordinate and follow up for continuous infrastructure and process improvements.
- Timely escalation of issues.
- Vendor management & domestic fruits procurement as per plan.
- Regular reporting and MIS.
- Procurement of supply at optimum price with Consistent quality.
- Vendor development.
Requirements & Skills
- BSc Agriculture / Horticulture/ MBA (Agri)/ Diploma in Agriculture.
- Experience in fresh produce will be preferred.
- Should have 2 wheeler and license.
- At least 2 years of field experience in souring of agri-commodities.
- Exposure to working in 2/3 commodities & multi locations will be preferred.
- Should be willing to be on ground, work closely with farmers & open to travel across.
- Should be well networked in the Agri World (Input/Output).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good and prompt in communication.
- Proficient in Hindi and should be able to understand and speak English.
- Meticulous and well organized. Should be able to coordinate and manage parallel activities.
